MTO WA MBU VILLAGE

The village of Mto Wa Mbu, where about 120 tribes reside, is one of the most interesting places to visit to learn about the traditional lifestyle of the Tanzanian people. During the tour with a local guide, you will be able to visit the banana beer production farms, the fruit market, the coffee plantations, the rice fields and the colorful local craft shops (in particular Makonde sculptures and Tingatinga paintings). The excursion is ideal to do on the way to or from Lake Manyara National Park and can be done on foot or by renting a bike or the typical tuk tuk. On request you can also enjoy a local lunch with delicious Tanzanian dishes.
