The ideal safari in Tanzania to visit the most famous parks in the northern part and to learn about the history, culture and traditions of the Chaga tribe, resident at the foot of the highest mountain on the African continent: Kilimanjaro.
On arrival at Kilimanjaro (or Arusha) Airport, just outside the main exit, you will be met by our guide who will take you to your Lodge in Moshi, near Kilimanjaro National Park. If you have time, you can take a tour of the city, accompanied by the guide. Alternatively, relax at the hotel with dinner and overnight stay.
The next morning, you will reach the village of Materuni at an altitude of 1300 meters above sea level, at the foot of Kilimanjaro. From here, accompanied by a local guide, after a short walk of about 40 minutes, you will reach the waterfalls where you can take a refreshing dip in the natural pool at the base of them. During the tour, the guide will explain how local fruits such as avocados, mangoes and bananas are grown and will tell you about the agricultural, economic and cultural life of the village. The tour will continue with the return to the village where you can enjoy a typical local lunch and watch the coffee growing process. You will learn how to grow, dry, roast and process. You will also be invited to contribute to the grinding of the coffee, traditionally accompanied by Chaga singing and dancing. At the end of the activities, return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

A professional ranger will take you on a walking safari inside the park. This type of safari allows you to establish a much more direct contact with nature. You learn to recognize the traces of animals, from footprints to excrement from which you learn a lot about their habits and their needs. We focus on plants, each of which has formidable properties and we realize how important nature is and gives us all the means to live and survive even in hostile environments.

Early in the morning, right after breakfast, our Tanzania safari tour operator will take you to discover the wonderful Tarangire National Park. (Approximate transfer time Arusha•Tarangire: 2 h 30 min) The park, dotted with huge baobabs, covers an area of 2850 km² and includes the Tarangire River, where immense herds of zebras, wildebeests, oryx, water antelopes, lesser kudus, giraffes, buffaloes and their natural predators such as lions, leopards and wild dogs gather, especially during the dry season. Tarangire is also known for having the highest concentration of elephants in the world and is considered by many to be Tanzania’s best destination for birdwatchers, with over 450 species of birds spotted there. After lunch on one of the many natural terraces with breathtaking views of the river and the surrounding nature, the Safari will continue in the afternoon with the transfer to the Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Depart early in the morning to drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will go on a daytime safari. (Approximate transfer time Tarangire•Manyara: 2 h 30 min) Lake Manyara is one of the smallest parks in Tanzania (330 km²), but it has a lot to offer. The lake and the surrounding area constitute an ecosystem renowned for its richness in plant and animal species. The vegetation is very varied, with areas of evergreen forests, stretches of savannah, swamps and hot springs (Maji Moto). The fauna includes numerous elephants, baboons, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, hippos, large flocks of pink flamingos and other species. The park is also home to leopards, hyenas and the famous Manyara lions that have the habit of climbing trees in this area. At the end of the game drive, transfer to the Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight in Karatu. (Approximate transfer time Manyara•Karatu: 1 h)

The Serengeti is considered the most famous national park in the world, the cradle of the Great Migration, where every year one of the most impressive natural cycles on the planet is renewed: tens of thousands of ungulates move, guided by the primordial instinct for survival, in constant search of new pastures. The landscape, dotted with large acacias and Kopjes (mounds of ancient rocks), is the ideal habitat for big cats. In the Seronera Valley, along the banks of the river of the same name, you will have the opportunity to see leopards climbing sausage trees, observe the numerous prides of lions on the Moru kopjes and, with a little luck, even spot a black rhinoceros. Finally, you can get out of the car at the famous hippo pool and approach the pool to scrutinize the many hippos piled up. The day will end with the return to the Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.
The following day will be entirely dedicated to the discovery of the park where there will be opportunities for the sighting of families of giraffes and elephants, large prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and smaller ones such as foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, along with more than 500 species of birds. The safari will end in the afternoon with transfer to the Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight in Karatu. (Approximate transfer time Serengeti•Karatu: 3 h)
